Co-founder and CEO, True Corp
Issac Turpin built True from the ground up on one rule: do the whole job right, respect the homeowner, and stand behind the work.
Originally from Mulberry. Nearly 30 years in construction and restoration. Father of four, plus stepchildren. Co-founder and CEO of the four Central Florida True companies.
Do the whole job right. Respect the homeowner. Stand behind the work.
How he got here
Mulberry, the trades, and the companies
-
Mulberry, pastors, and the trades
Issac Turpin is originally from Mulberry, Florida, in Polk County. He grew up around Mulberry First Assembly, where his parents pastored for almost 20 years. That house taught a specific kind of work: you take care of people even when it costs you. Faith, grit, and Central Florida roots are why the companies are here.
The origin film on True's YouTube channel is the long-form version in his own words. Both Issac and Mark grew up in ministers' families, in churches their parents led. Both describe the same inheritance: parents who believed strongly in doing what is right for others, whether or not it made a profit.
-
How he runs the companies
Issac is co-founder and CEO of True Corp. He leads with the values he was raised on: work hard, stay grounded, and do right by people, whether that person is a customer in a flooded house or a tech who wants to move up.
Culture matters. Results matter. Leadership starts at the top. When a job goes wrong, it is not a line item in a distant portfolio. It is his reputation in the county he still lives in.
-
What "the whole job" meant in practice
The True companies exist because Issac refused the version of the trades he kept seeing: open the house, fix the pipe, leave the drywall for someone else. That pattern is how homeowners end up with three contractors, three invoices, and a hole in the wall for a month.
Plumbing came first. Then air conditioning and water systems on those trucks. Then True Builders for kitchens, fire, and storm rebuilds. Then True Roofers. Then True Aluminum for pool cages, lanais, and outdoor living.
-
What homeowners actually get from Issac being the owner
Family owned is printed on a lot of Florida trucks. Here it changes who is accountable. Decisions get made locally. The company's reputation and Issac's personal reputation are the same thing.
When you check out any contractor, finding out who owns it and how findable they are is worth five minutes. This page, and the origin film, make that check easy.

The origin
How True started
Issac and Mark were childhood friends with the same drive. Issac is from Mulberry. Mark was born and raised in Winter Haven. They wanted a company that used their people skills, work ethic, and sales ability to create real value. The idea for True took shape the day Mark left a sales job they shared and went to work at a local plumbing company.
What he saw there did not sit right. The crew would tear into a customer's home to fix a plumbing issue, then leave the mess. No cleanup. No rebuild. No respect for the rest of the house. Mark called Issac, who already had a construction background, and asked a simple question: why don't we do the whole thing ourselves?

Four licensed companies
The True companies exist because Issac refused the version of the trades he kept seeing: open the house, fix the pipe, leave the drywall for someone else. That pattern is how homeowners end up with three contractors, three invoices, and a hole in the wall for a month.
Plumbing came first in 2009. He then started True Builders, True Roofers, and True Aluminum. When a storm hits, Roofers can tarp, Plumbers can stop the water, and Builders can start the rebuild.
