Meet Jack Robertson: Four Years From Loading Jobs to Finished Roofs

Jack Robertson is a field tech for True Roofers: day to day he loads jobs, tows trailers, and assists the crews on installs. Originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, he moved to Florida about five years ago and has been with True for four of them, learning to install metal roofs and shingles, in his words, from the start to the finished product.

Off the roof it is his wife, his two dogs, and fishing; on it, his goal is to keep progressing toward field manager or higher. And his read on the company: True is the most trusted because "we not only take care of the problem, we're also there alongside from start to finish."

What a field tech does before the first shingle goes down

Jack's job description, loading jobs and towing trailers, is the invisible half of why some roof jobs run like clockwork. Every smooth install day was staged the day before: the right material in the right quantities delivered and loaded, the trailer and equipment on site, protection down for landscaping and pool screens, and the tear-off plan matched to the weather window. When staging is done right, the roof comes off and goes back on in one confident motion; when it is not, the crew stands around waiting on a supply run while your deck sits open.
