Team Building at Axe Caliber: Purpose, Identity, Strength
The True crew off the clock, throwing axes at Axe Caliber in a team-building event. Mike Price, out with his brother Mark, brought a motivational word to the guys about purpose, identity, and strength: find your purpose and your identity, and the strength follows.
The event also meant supporting a local small business, which Axe Caliber's own Joyce Wood thanks Mark for on camera.
Why a company's culture shows up in your house
Team culture sounds like an internal matter until you realize what it controls: who stays. In the trades, employee turnover is the customer's problem - a revolving door of technicians means the person diagnosing your slab leak may be three weeks into the job. Companies that invest in their people keep them, and tenure is where diagnostic skill comes from.
- Long-tenured technicians have seen your exact problem before - pattern recognition is most of diagnosis
- Crews that know each other coordinate cleanly on multi-day jobs like repipes and remodels
- A company that treats its people well has people who care whether you are happy at the end
